Geometry
1 STUDENTS ENROLLED
Geometry, perhaps, is the oldest of all sciences. It is a branch of mathematics that deals with the measurement, properties, and relationships of points, lines, angles, surfaces, and solids. Geometry defines certain initial propositions that are accepted as true (postulates) and provides proofs of logical statements (theorems) by applying deductive reasoning. Students explore the Pythagorean Theorem, geometric construction and coordinate proofs, properties of triangles and circles, as well as important concepts such as congruence, similarity and symmetry. Lastly, basic trigonometry and solid geometry are introduced.
