SAT
The SAT is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States. The SAT is developed and published by the College Board, a private, non-profit organization in the United States. The test is intended to assess students’ readiness for college.
The SAT consists of four sections and an optional essay. The sections are in the following order: Reading, Writing and Language, Math (no-calculator) and Math (calculator). The total duration of the test is 3 hours and 50 minutes.
The SAT score is an important factor in college admissions. The students can take the SAT multiple times, most students take 2-3 times. A perfect score on the SAT is 1600 with an average of about 1050. Many colleges consider ‘super scoring’, which means combining the highest math score and the highest reading score from multiple administrations.
